Day 1 – Saturday
On arrival at Berlin-Tegel Airport you will be greeted by our tour guide. From there you will be driven to the Kleine Schloss in Babelsberg Park in Potsdam. This castle, originally erected for Emperor Wilhelm I. and his wife Augusta, welcomes you with a spectacular view across the gardens and lakes of Potsdam.
The official welcome at the Kleine Schloss will mark the beginning of our tour. You will have lunch in the Kavalierszimmer (knights’ room) and our guide will give you all the details about your three-day program. Following that we will familiarize you with your Porsche 911 for the weekend.
After lunch we will head towards Dresden. The famous silhouette of the historic center with the Semper Opera House, the Residential Castle and the reconstructed “Church of our Lady” is part of the UNESCO World Heritage. The enchanting landscape which surrounds Dresden adds to the unique charm and unforgettable atmosphere of Germany’s famous metropolis on the river Elbe.
Your home on this first night of your tour through Saxony will be the Taschenbergpalais Kempinski, located in the middle of Dresden’s historic center. As a highlight of baroque architecture, the Taschenbergpalais combines timeless elegance and grand hospitality with highest comfort.
In the evening you will enjoy a three-course dinner with Saxon culinary specialities at the Restaurant "Alte Meister". You will dine in historical rooms overlooking Semper Opera and Zwinger Palace.
Day 2 – Sunday
After breakfast in the hotel you will leave Dresden to explore the Elbe valley. Driving through the Elbsandsteingebirge, a sandstone massif in the center of an area called Saxon Switzerland, you will be able to enjoy fantastic views of cliffs and picturesque villages. And, of course, numerous road bends and tight corners will be waiting for you and your Porsche.
For lunch we will stop at Königstein Fortress, a unique monument following the art of European fortress construction. Its 750 years of history have made it an impressive configuration of late Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and 19th century architecture. Following lunch, our program will take you through the vineyards to Leipzig.
With its beautiful marble, gold-rimmed archways, high ceilings, and soaring windows, Hotel Fürstenhof Leipzig has the ambiance of a classic patrician’s palace. Located right in the city center, Hotel Fürstenhof Leipzig has grown to be one of the most sophisticated palaces in all of Germany.
We will finish off the day with another fantastic gourmet dinner at the famous Auerbachs Keller where you can breathe 600 years of German history. According to an American study, Auerbachs Keller ranks among the five most well-known restaurants in the world.
Day 3 – Monday
On day three we will check out of the Hotel Fürstenhof and drive to the Porsche factory in Leipzig. There, an experienced Porsche instructor will introduce you to the exciting world of Porsche sports car driving. You will have the opportunity of testing different types of Porsches like the Cayman, the Cayenne, the Boxter or the 911 on the Porsche test track. Many of the sections of this track are inspired by the world’s most legendary race track corners. Following your drive around the test track you will get the chance to witness the activities on the track from outside while having lunch. Your visit to the Porsche plant will be concluded by a tour of the factory during which you will learn all about the production process of the Porsche Cayenne.
We will leave Leipzig in the late afternoon to head back to Berlin. You will spend your last night at the first-class Hotel Sofitel Berlin Gendarmenmarkt.
